Anne Francis, the TV and flim actress best known for the 60s series
Honey West,
has died at the age of 80. The cause was pancreatic cancer.
Honey West premiered in 1965 and ran for 30 episodes. It garnered Francis a Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination. Though best known for television, she also made over 30 movies including
Forbidden Planet; Hook, Line and Sinker; and
Funny Girl. She also appeared on Broadway in the 1941 production of
Lady in the Dark with Gertrude Lawrence. In 1982, she wrote her memoir,
Voices From Home: An Inner Journey. Her last TV appearance was on
Without a Trace in 2004.
