Denyce Lawton was born in Seoul, South Korea to Gregory & Wan Lawton Sr. The middle child of three, Jennifer Tubridy & Gregory Lawton Jr., Denyce was a military brat living abroad in such countries as Korea, Japan, and Germany.
In the United States, her family lived almost everywhere including Kansas, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. Denyce's childhood began mainly in Neptune, New Jersey and then in the beginning of her 7th grade year, her family moved to Washington D.C. In 1998, she was offered an Executive Assistant position at Warner Bros. Records in New York City.
Denyce continued to work as a model for Kemi Oil, Adidas and Kark Kani as she worked for record labels such as Priority Records (No Limit) and Def Jam (Murder Inc.). In December 2001, Denyce decided to move back to Los Angeles, California to pursue her acting career full time and has since been gracing the screens.
