The Other Royal Wedding

Did you know that there will be another royal wedding on July 2?  Prince Albert of Monaco will marry South African swimming champion Charlene Wittstock in a three-day celebration culminating in an outdoor ceremony in the Palace courtyard.  I'm sure my invitation will arrive any day now.  The stunning future Princess Charlene will wear Armani.  "Princess Charlene" may sound more like the Princess of Arkansas than Her Serene Highness of Monaco, but you work with what you've got.  Will their marriage be loveless and tragique, like some other royals I could name, or will they be a Mediterranean Kate and William?  One good sign is her age. She is 33 and was an accomplished woman (she competed at the 2000 Olympics) before meeting Prince Albert four years ago.

Prince Albert Engaged

Prince Albert of Monaco has gotten engaged to beautiful South African Charlene Wittstock.  The tiny nation has not had a crown princess since the death of Princess Grace 30 years ago.  She is a former world-class swimmer who competed for her country at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.  They have the Olympics in common as Albert has competed as a bobsledder five times and serves on the International Olympic Committee.  No date has been set.
