Model Actress Eva Mendes Movie Gallery

Model Actress Eva MendesFor the men out there who have always wanted to get in bed with exotic beauty Eva Mendes, now's your chance. The actress, who's best known for roles in movies like "Hitch," "The Spirit" and "Ghost Rider," and endless movie gallery officially launched her new luxurious home collection on Saturday at Macy’s in New York City.

"Vida by Eva Mendes" — vida means "life" in Spanish — came to fruition last September when Macy's first announced the partnership with the starlet. "Vida is about easy luxury — the colors, fabrics and textures that I live and love, brought to life in a stylish, ans seen in many model sites comfortable and affordable way," Eva said in a press release. "I'm excited to partner to see my passion for design come to life."

The budding designer's new collection, which Eva Mendes created alongside her business associate George Augusto, can be now be found on Macy's website (and in stores). The home decor brand, just like it's Latin inspiration, includes five main spicy flavors: Bettina (a "saturated mix of warm colors"), Isabella (a "combination of gold and rich shades of mocha"), Rosa ("gold tones and ornate embroidery"), Kalia ("romantic detailing") and Jayde ( a floral pattern that brings the "vibrancy and beauty of nature indoors").

It's definitely a change for a celebrity to design bedding (er, unless of course you're Ty Pennington) instead of a clothing line, so we're open to this new arena. Just please, reality starsor in movie gallery , don't let this be your next big entrepreneurial pursuit, too (you know, much like jewelry lines once were).

Eva Mendes is the cover girl for the September 2009 issue of the UK edition of Marie Claire. I was watching Hitch the other night and I was realizing I hadn’t seen Eva Mendes lately, and then I saw this cover. Here are the highlights of the interview in the magazine:

On her Calvin Klein adverts that were banned in the States: “You can’t show your nipples, apparently, in the States. But you can blow up anything you please in a movie or on TV.”

On her curves: “I love my curves and I embrace them, but I have to walk a fine line. There are certain dresses like for simple dating personlals that are like: ‘Oh, this is really feminine. This isn’t sexy at all’, but then I’d try it on and it just turned. I think it comes down to being voluptuous, and if your body’s a certain way, then things can go distasteful in a second.”

On regular therapy sessions: “I love therapy! I’m very into it. I’m very in touch with my feelings, so I’m a completely different person. Not that different, but there’s nothing like going in and sitting down like dating personals and talking to someone who has no emotional tie to your life. Just to talk to someone. It’s amazing.”

On visiting cemeteries: “I love cemeteries. They’re so beautiful and peaceful.”

I am a huge fan of cemeteries myself. I used to live by one growing up and I was always there. It’s true. It’s one of the quietest places in the world.
