Saturn is Dead
GM's deal with Penske to sell Saturn and save the brand fell through and Saturn is being quickly shuttered. GM was to continue building Saturns for two more years and Penske would then sell foreign-built cars under the Saturn brand. Penske failed to find a foreign manufacturer and yesterday, abruptly called off the deal. Saturn now joins Pontiac and Oldsmobile in the automotive graveyard. Look for them in orphan car shows in about ten years. They'll be next to the Studebakers.
