Actress Katrina Kaif On Actors In An Interview

After New York, actress Katrina Kaif will soon be seen in director Raj Kumar Santoshi’s comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani Katrina Kaif opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Indian Actress Katrina Kaif

Hot Katrina Kaif Talking about the film, Kaif says she is happy to have finally got an opportunity to work with the director. Excerpts

Raj Kumar Santoshi chose you for his first comedy in 15 years. How does it feel?
It’s a great honour to work with Rajji. When I asked Akshay, Salman and Ajay Devgan ‘Who is the best director for an actor?’, all three actors said it’s definitely him.

Did comedy come easily to you?
I followed exactly what Rajji showed me. I would remain on the sets and be around him to know how he envisions the scene. Before every shot, he would enact both Ranbir and my parts and we would follow him to the T. Ranbir and I were competing over who was copying Rajji more closely.

Raj Kumar Santoshi says that Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani will change people’s perception of you as an actress...
I am privileged that I keep getting chances to improve. Rajji is an actor’s director. He has taught me the different ways to approach a scene, react, and improvise. He has shown me in a different light and persona than what people have seen me so far in films. The role is completely different from Namaste London or New York.

In your earlier films, you have played an NRI girl and in this film you play a Catholic girl, Jennifer. Do you think directors write such roles for you because of your looks and English accent?
I have worked with the best directors in the industry and if they write roles keeping me in mind, then it’s a huge compliment. I don’t think an actor can wish for anything more.

What is the ghazab element you found in Ranbir while working with him?
We worked together for 96 days and the one thing which is nice about Ranbir is that he doesn’t take himself seriously. He doesn’t try to impress upon people that he is good-looking and stylish. He has no ego hassles. He just comes on the sets and does his job seriously. That makes it very easy for the co-star. The passion that he has for his work is inspiring.

Katrina Kaif News And Pics

You have worked with many senior actors How was it working with Ranbir, who is the same age as you?
I didn’t have to say ‘Good morning sir’. Also, everybody starts fighting over who will get to go home first. I didn’t have to stay till late in the night for my shots in most pf my movie gallery Because we are the same age, I could say, ‘Rajji please finish my shots first’.

Ranbir has said the relationship between Jennifer and his character Prem is like that between Laurel and Hardy. So who is Laurel and who is Hardy?
Ranbir is Laurel and I am Hardy. He is giving and I am receiving. In all my movie gallery I think I am always at the receiving end.

Katrina Kaif is one of the vagueries of the Hindi film industry that an actress like Katrina Kaif, who is born to an Indian-Kashmiri father and a British mother, is right there at the top even though she hardly speaks Hindi. What’s more, she has also done films in Telugu and Malayalam without knowing those languages either! What helps, one supposes is that undoubtedly she is the best looker in the film industry today with a sexy body to match. And also that she has been cast correctly in most of her films as by and large her roles have been fairly undemanding requiring her to look good, wear short dresses, dance a bit and smile sweetly!

Famous Models Actress Gives Modeling And Beauty Tips

SHE has been hailed as the new face of fashion, and, at just 22, the former American athlete has already been in the top 15 of Forbes’ list of the world’s richest models for the past two consecutive years.Meet Hilary Rhoda, who has joined the crop of top-grossing supermodels modeling following a lucrative multi-million dollar contract with leading skincare and cosmetic brand Estee Lauder.

Famous Actors Models
For a top model, Rhoda is no prima donna, coming to the door of her posh hotel room in mid-town Manhattan to personally greet groups of fashion writers from Asia and Europe.

Like many models in New York, Rhoda is tall, almost 1.8m. Unlike most, though, she is not reed thin and does not have that easily-blown-away look.

Rhoda is, in fact, a picture of fitness, probably from her years of training as an athlete and playing tennis and field hockey and from swimming.

She admits to enjoying food, and loves to check out restaurants with friends when she goes home to the state of Maryland for visits.Already a favourite of Vogue and Harpers Bazaar magazines, she recently made her debut in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, getting rave reviews and beauty tips recently for her curvy figure.Rhoda says she has often been compared to a young Brooke Shields, probably due to her dark hair and heavy eyebrows.

“I’ve been told that I’ve got the all-American girl look, although some people think I’m Italian. People see something in me that they can relate to – and I love being a chameleon,” she adds with a hearty laugh.

While many European models try to make a name for themselves in the United States, Rhoda’s modeling career actually took off in Paris when Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiére hand-picked her to walk in his spring 2006 show.

She had just finished secondary school then and signed up with a modelling agency.

Since then, Rhoda has graced the catwalks of Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, and Valentino. She is also the current internet models face of St John Knits, replacing Angelina Jolie. Her eyes, a vivid blue, stand out against her dark features, becoming expressive as she chats animatedly about her life.

Rhoda studied at the Academy of the Holy Cross, a Catholic all-girls’ school, which she admits has helped shape her values in life.

She believes in being down-to-earth and having a positive attitude.

“In my profession, I have to deal with make-up artistes, stylists, and photographers. I am always open to suggestions as they are the professionals.”

She has a close relationship with her family, comprising mum, dad, and an older brother who’s in university in Philadelphia.

Her mother accompanies her on her modelling stints whenever possible.

So how does it feel to be young, rich, and famous?

“I don’t think I have changed much. I try to go home as much as I can, sometimes for a week if I can find the time. It’s very nice to stay close to the family and NYC (New York City) is just a few hours away,” says Rhoda.

“I still do the things I love, like biking and hanging out with friends,” says Rhoda, admitting she was “a bit of a tomboy” while growing up.

Modeling Beauty Tips
Now she finds equal pleasure in girly things like sharing makeup and beauty tips with her old school friends and letting them know about the latest Estee Lauder promotions.

Rhoda is full of praise for the company that “launched” her face.

“My mum and grandmother have been using Estee products for years and I have seen the results of all those creams and lotions.

“That’s how I started using them myself,” says Rhoda, who personally likes the new Advanced Night Repair (ANR) cream for its light texture.

“People think the ANR is just for older women but that’s not true. It helps protect skin against damage and I believe the best way to do so is to start young,” she adds.

Rhoda’s favourite scent is Sensuous, a perfume she launched together with three other famous Estee Lauder faces: internet models Carolyn Murphy and actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow.

On what the word “sensuous” means to her, Rhoda replies, “I think of ‘sensuous’ as being strong and confident. It’s a woman in her most natural state.

“I think a woman can be sensuous at all ages.

“I immediately think of women who are older, such as Racquel Welch or Catherine Deneuve, because you can see that they are so comfortable even for actors this is true with themselves and in their own skin. But you can also see it in women in their 20s and 30s.”

And when does she herself feel sensuous?

“Sometimes, it’s when I’m wearing really comfortable clothes and feel very natural. Dancing, playing a sport, running ... is sensuous. A steaming cup of espresso after a nice meal is sensuous.

“But, mostly, it’s when you’re having fun and enjoying your life.”

Angelina Jolie Movie Gallery Details With Different Actors

Angelina Jolie Movie Gallery"Wanted (2008)" director as quoted by Sci Fi Wire."Wanted 2" will see James McAvoy's Wesley Gibson trying to wake up Angelina Jolie character, Fox. During his appearance in "9" panel at San Diego Comic Con 2009, the animation's producer Timur Bekmambetov shared the idea. "James McAvoy will be in the movie gallery he will try to wake up our Fox," so claimed the "Wanted (2008)" director as quoted by Sci Fi Wire.

However, when pursued further on where Fox currently resides, the 48-year-old evasively said, "She's in a bath with wax." The wax bath he is referring is the healing bath which is seen used by actors in the first film by the characters to recover from their wounds. Previously, Bekmambetov noted that he is looking for ways to bring Jolie back, stating, "We are working hard to wake her up. She was deadly wounded."

"The bullet's still there (in her head), and now it's a process of how to wake her up," he continued explaining. "There has to be a reason for that. We survive if we actors have a reason to live. She decided [to shoot herself], it's her decision. And now we are trying to figure out what's the motivation for her to resurrect. It's happening. I think we will make it happen."

As for when the sequel falls into production, writer Mark Millar, as reported by Superhero Hype!, stated that the script has been completed and the filmmakers are going to start shooting in eight weeks time. On the contrary, director Bekmambetov of many movie gallery movies suggested that what is going to be kicked off in 8 weeks is likely to be the pre-production.

Actors Pictures With Bio"Wanted 2" has director Timur Bekmambetov attached to direct this "Wanted (2008)" sequel. Marc E. Platt and Jim Lemley with help of Angelina Jolie will serve as producers, while Universal Pictures production executive Jeff Kirschenbaum is to oversee the project. James McAvoy will once again take the role of Wesley Gibson. It allegedly revolves around the international group of assassins from issues 4 and 5 of Mark Millar's graphic novel.
