Crist Announces Florida Will Stop Enforcing Gay Adoption Ban

Florida Governor Charlie Crist has announced that Florida will stop enforcing it's ban on gays adopting children.  This comes in the wake of a state appeals court upholding a lower court ruling that the ban is unconstitutional.  Crist praised the ruling, said he would meet with the adoptive father at the heart of the case, and said he believed the Supreme Court would not overrule the case.

I know Crist is running for the Senate as an independent and I'm sure there's a political motivation for this, but I don't care.  This is great news.
