Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn have endorsed two applicants for US Attorney for the Western District of Texas: Robert Pitman, a U.S. magistrate in Austin, and San Antonio criminal defense lawyer Michael McCrum. Pittman also just happens to be openly gay. Hutchison's role has garnered attention because she's running for governor against teabagger-in-chief Rick Perry. Hutchison probably had no idea and we'll see if she sticks to her guns.
